No, when Smarther is in OFF mode (standby icon on its display) it's allways works on manual mode with a defined setpoint colled Heating and Cooling protection temperature. These temperature are in default 7°C for Heating protection temperature and 35°C forCooling protection temperature. You could define value of these parameters in advanced setting menu.
