The uninterruptible power supply must be located in accordance with the following conditions: - the humidity and temperature must be within the prescribed limits, i.e. between 0-40° C / 0-95% non-condensing ; - fire protection standards must be complied with; - wiring must be easy to carry out; - front and rear accessibility must be available for servicing or periodic maintenance; - the flow of cooling air must be guaranteed; - the air-conditioning system must be adequately dimensioned; - dust or corrosive/explosive gases must be absent; - the location must be free of vibration; - the rear and side space must be sufficient to ensure adequate air circulation for cooling; - the support surface must be dimensioned for the load-bearing capacity required to support the equipment. To best safeguard the batteries, it must be borne in mind that their average life is strongly influenced by the ambient operating temperature. Place the UPS in an environment with a temperature range of +20°C to +25°C to ensure optimum battery life. Before proceeding with the installation operations, check that there is sufficient lighting to easily locate every detail. Supplement the area with artificial light if natural light does not meet these requirements.
