To see the status of the burglar alarm system go in "Manage my home" --> Enter in the room where the central unit is present --> Select the central unit, or, after a long press on the "alarm" icon in homepage select "Device settings" and see the status of the different devices and failures.
In case of failures you will also receive a notification and the event will be tracked in the timeline.
